Saranya Jayakumar,

Is a Chocolatier and budding VEGAN pastry Chef.  Moved to Belgium in 2014. Despite cooking being her passion, thirst to learn new skill kicked up, CHOCOLATES! She pursued strong fundamentals of chocolates at CALLEBAUT Academy, Wieze. Later she mastered her chocolate making skills with guidance from Chef Chocolatier Bram Hullebroeck, from Belgian Chocolate School in Antwerpen. In 2018, her love for plant-based desserts made her to go deeper into patisseries, she had followed hands-on training with Chef Toni Rodríguez & Chef Marike Van Beurden (Barcelona, Spain).

 

How Samprita Started?

I always wonder why people want home-cooked style meal in restaurants! So that made me to come up with an idea of home cooked wholesome food, which I am specialized at. Also, I wanted to give people wider knowledge about South Indian food!

About Samprita

Samprita is specialized in Authentic South Indian vegan & vegetarian food. Our home-cooked style food are prepared fresh each day. We do focus on using local products as much as we can, and most of the products are Bio & Organic.

We also undertake catering for corporate events, PhD defense parties, birthday parties, house warming functions & other occasions. We do create Vegan pastries for small occasions, PhD defenses & parties.

Cooking Workshops : Samprita provides individual or team event Indian Vegan workshops (Now Virtually). Contact us for more information.

What makes us unique! We make small batch of fresh batter each day allowing the batter to ferment naturally (no added yeast or baking soda).

Also we are trying to reduce plastic waste, we use recyclable karton boxes for idli & dosa. In near future, we will completely stop using plastic boxes!

Wondering what SAMPRITA means?
‘Samprita ‘ is a Sanskrit word, where ‘Sam’ means complete and ‘Prita’ means satisfaction. At ‘Samprita’, we would like to deliver complete satisfaction to our valuable customers through our food.
